||| Intellizent Team ||| Alan Brind Alan is the founder and president of the Intellizent Group. He has over thirty years in-depth experience in the information technology industry, both nationally and internationally, managing within a diverse spectrum of disciplines, including marketing, sales, product management, product marketing, business development and market planning. In his early career, Alan spent a number of years in the industrial process control and automation field in various technical roles. Alan has held numerous positions as vice president of worldwide marketing, executive vice president of marketing and general manager of US operations, director product marketing, product line manager and senior marketing management positions with a number of privately held small businesses and public corporations. Alan's professional background includes assignments with Aura Networks, Performance Technologies, Cameo Communications, Digital Equipment Corporation, ADC Telecommunications, and Infinet. Alan was a co-founder of Cameo Communications, Inc. and held the position of executive vice president marketing and general manager of US operations. Among many of Alan's critical skills, is building strong marketing teams, positioning products and companies, negotiating intellectual property acquisitions, developing OEM channel relationships, corporate branding, image building and new company start-up experience. Alan has successfully identified key trends within the industry and anticipating future technology developments. Alan has developed and transformed solid product strategies into realistic marketing programs, positioning organizations for growith and strategic advantage. Alan has experience of the IPO process, being a significant contributor to prospectus develpoment during one of his past career assignments. Throughout his career, Alan has successfully launched many networking and communications products and developed and executed strategies for sustainable competitive advantage. Alan has served on the American National Standards Institute X3S37 Subcommittee for X.25 Public Data Networks. He is also an ex Faculty member of North Eastern University's State-of-the-Art Program. Alan is a Chartered Engineer (CEng.), a Chartered Information Technology Professional (CITP), a Certified Senior Business Analyst (CSBA), Member of the British Computer Society (MBCS), and a Member of the Institute of Engineering & Technology (MIET). Bill McCready Bill McCready is a multi-disciplined marketing professional with specialized expertise in the design, development and execution of sales channel strategies. Bill's focus is assisting Intellizent Group clients to think strategically and providing them with information, skills and services to help them sell, market and support end users through all types of sales channels. Bill has over 25 years experience in the information technology industry. His experience includes managing sales, marketing, product marketing and business development. For the past 20 years, Bill has concentrated on the indirect sales channels to assist companies evaluate, develop, implement and maintain channels and partnerships that extend their capabilities and profitability. Bill has worked for Fortune 500 organizations as well as start-ups companies. His assignments include Hewlett Packard, Digital/Compaq, Apollo Workstations, Honeywell and Aura Networks. Within the sales channel area, Bill has gained tremendous experience while holding positions as Nation Channel Sales Manager, National Channel Marketing Manager and Worldwide Director of Channel Strategy and Marketing. David Cleveland David Cleveland has over 30 years of management experience in the data and voice communications industry. David has an exceptional record of accomplishment in product management and marketing. He has successfully brought both products and services to market, defined product strategies, and created strong multifunctional teams. In addition, he has defined the strategies for the development of strong and effective OEM sales channels and strategic alliances in Europe and Asia. As Director of Business Development at Spike Broadband Systems, a supplier of broadband fixed wireless access systems, David quickly defined and implemented a profitable sales channel plan for the People's Republic of China. David also led relationships with major OEM sales channels such as Siemens AG, P-Com, Inc, and others. While with Cabletron Systems, later Enterasys Networks, David led the services marketing organization in redefining the services portfolio and channel programs that generated higher levels of both revenue and profit. He has experience in warranty and services product definition and development, competitive analysis, services business planning, and measuring customer satisfaction through service and support initiatives. David was the program manager of Digital Equipment Corp's Computer Integrated Telephony program, which began as a joint development with British Telecom and Mitel Corp. and for which David additionally recruited Siemens AG, Ericsson, AT&T, and Alcatel. This business was successfully acquired by Intel, which became their Dialogics division. David has a BSEE from Tufts University and earned an MBA from California Lutheran University. He is a member of the Association of Strategic Alliance Professionals and an ex member of the Information Technology Services Marketing Association. Susan Crum Susan Crum is an accomplished industry analyst and marketing research consultant. Susan has over 13 years experience in the information technology industry, specifically in the areas of data communications and telecommunications. Susan's technology experience extends to local and wide area networks, telephony, network convergence, service and network management applications, remote access (VPNs), datacom/telecom equipment markets, security, Internet/IP and managed services. Susan has consulted to many companies within the IT industry on technology issues, strategy formulation, project implementation, and strategic market research. Susan's professional career includes senior product management and marketing management roles for leading high technology companies, where she was responsible for the success of new products, defining market requirements, product concepts, product launches, and ultimately sales follow through. Susan has successfully delivered over sixty consulting projects to many key Fortune 1000 clients. Susan has authored numerous datacommunications and telecommunications market analysis reports and white papers for public and private networks, conducting custom market research, and executing a variety of specialized consulting projects. Susan presently assists senior management in making actionable decisions in the areas of strategic planning, IT ROI cost/benefit analysis, business plan due diligence, benchmarking, and identification of potential technical and financial partners, thereby reducing critical time to market barriers for products and services. She has an MSEE from Northeastern University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Pietro Michelucci, Ph.D. Dr. Michelucci is a cognitive scientist and Internet technologies specialist. He has two decades of IT experience, including seven programming languages, programming systems analysis and architecture, ergonomic factors, graphics design, web design and development, strategic planning, and web-based marketing. Pietro has provided consulting services to a variety of clients ranging in size from sole proprietors to Fortune 100 companies, including universities and federal agencies. In addition, he has donated web development to non-profit organizations. Pietro specializes in applying information and web-based technologies to streamlining business processes, enhancing market presence, and optimizing the end-user's experience. Pietro currently directs the Experimental Data Institute, a small enterprise dedicated to the evolution of interoperability standards for the World Wide Web. In addition to consulting for the U.S. Government and the IT industry, he is the managing partner of a fitness software company. Dr. Michelucci has a joint Ph.D. in Psychology and Cognitive Science from Indiana University. Joe Smyjunas Joe Smyjunas has an extensive background in information technology, encompassing both data communications and networking. He has diverse knowledge and experience extending from engineering to marketing and business management. This includes broad-based experience in: professional network services, product marketing, technical/business consulting, network management, systems/ network integration, design/planning & implementation of enterprise network infrastructures and project management. Joe has recently served as Network Services Director for Nortel Networks. In addition, he has had engagements with a number of major computer companies, including IBM, Digital Equipment Corporation, Unisys and Honeywell, spanning computers, communications and networking for domestic and international clients. These include; Telecommunications companies; BellSouth, and Verizon Communications, and worldwide Airlines and Radio/Television companies. Joe has over twelve years lecturing experience in data communications and networking architectures at Northeastern University. This experience includes both university and customized company courses delivered on-site to numerous Fortune 1000 corporations in the northeastern US. Additionally, Joe has seven years experience delivering nationwide data communications seminars for a well known Washington, D.C. consulting and training firm. He has also written and published "The Data Communications Market in the U.S." Joe holds a degree in Electrical Engineering. Bernard Woesten Bernard Woesten has over 18 years of middle to senior level management experience in the information technology industry. Bernard was a senior partner with Hickory International, market research and international business development consultancy, specializing in the development of marketing strategies, competitive analysis, sales tool development, new product launches and international sales channel development. Bernard has served as a director of marketing with the military communications equipment manufacturer TCC, focussing on new product direction, business development, strategic alliances and partnerships. Bernard has experience as a senior associate with PMA, a networks and telecommunications industry market research firm, contracting with companies such as IDC, Gartner Group and with equipment vendors including Nortel, Newbridge and Hitachi, providing global market research, product assessment and market forecasting. Bernard was a co-founder and Senior Partner at L&W Associates, specializing in technology assessment product strategy and business plan development. Bernard has served in a variety of senior management roles within the engineering and marketing organizations within Digital Equipment Corporation, both in the US and Europe. Bernard also directed the marketing and sales effort for Digital's German subsidiary in Munich. As a consultant, and subsequent member of staff at Xerox, Bernard gained experience in logistics systems development and operated in various senior service, logistics and distribution operations management roles in North America and international service logistics manager for XEROX in Latin America. Bernard began his career with Berenschot Group, a well-known management-consulting firm in the Netherlands. Bernard rose rapidly among its ranks and consulted on operational aspects to a variety of major corporations both in Europe and in the US. Clients included the Xerox Corporation, Toronto Daily Star, Johns Manville and Abilities Inc. Bernard has a BSEE and Masters in Industrial Management from the Dordrecht Institute of Technology, The Netherlands, and earned his MBA at Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, NY. Bernard has served as an adjunct faculty member at RIT and was a founding member of the Rochester, NY chapter of an Operations Research interest group. Bernard has language fluency in English, German, Dutch, and French. |
